Caldan 4G Insecticide is an insecticide of the Nereistoxin analogue group.

It controls sucking and biting insects by stomach and contact action. It controls the hidden caterpillars like Stem borer and leaf folder due to its strong systemic action.

It is a persistent insecticide and controls insect pests for a longer period.

It is applied at the early stages of the crop.

Technical Content: Cartap Hydrochloride 4% GR

Mode of Entry: Systemic with contact and stomach action

Mode of Action: Caldan is of Nereistoxin analogue group, which gives effective control on insect pests through its contact, systemic and stomach poison action. It blocks neurotransmission as it binds receptors in the nervous system of insects, finally leading to death of insects.

Caldan 4G Insecticide Usage & Crops

Recommended Crops: Rice /Paddy

Target Pest: Stem borer, Leaf folder, Whorl maggot

Dosage: 7.5 - 10 /Acre (kg)

Method of Application: Apply at the initiation of infestation. After application, provide irrigation and maintain standing water in the crop for 2-3 days to ensure the insecticide is effectively distributed and absorbed

Additional Information

Dhanuka Caldan 4G is compatible with commonly used insecticide and fungicide.

It is also found to be very effective against early shoot borer of sugarcane.
