Planofix Bayer is a plant growth regulator, and it is an aqueous solution.

Planofix technical name - Alpha Napthyl Acetic Acid 4.5 SL (4.5 % w/w)

It helps to increase and improving the quality and yield of fruits.

Technical Content: Alpha Napthyl Acetic Acid 4.5 SL (4.5 % w/w)

Mode of Action: Planofix when sprayed on plants prevents the formation of abscission layer by suppressing ethylene gas produced and hence thereby prevents the shedding of flowers, buds and fruits.

Pineapple: to induce flowering and uniform growth, to increase fruit size & to delay maturity

Planofix Bayer Usage and Crops

Recommended Crops: Pineapple, Tomato, Chilli, Mango, Grapes etc.

Dosage: 44.4ml in 200 liters of water (10 ppm) & 88.8ml in 400 liters of water (100 ppm)

Method of Application: Foliar Application

Pineapple:  Apply just before expected flowering.  

Drench the whole fruit but avoid the spray drift to young crop.  

Again, wet the whole fruit 2 weeks before harvest. 

Tomato: At the time of flowering apply twice. 

Chillies:  First spray during flowering.

Second spray 20-30 days after spray (2 applications).

Mango:  First spray when tender fruits are of pea size. 

Malformation before fruit bud differentiation- approximate 3 months before flowering.

Grapes:  First spray at pruning

Second spray when flowering starts.

(To control berry, drop in grapes, Spray on matured grapes branches 10-15 days before harvesting) 

Additional Information

Should be sprayed during cool part of the day.

Prevents natural shedding of squares, bolls in cotton, flowers in vegetables, chilies, and fruits like mango.

Though compatible with most pesticides, individual application will give good result.
